Welcome to the RED DOT blog of the Basalt Gallery in Basalt, Colorado and on line.
Well, in spite of economic forecasts nature is not holding back. The colors of Fall that blanketed the Roaring Fork Valley a few short weeks ago are gone and now snow is falling in the Rockies. At the Gallery, and like Mother Nature, we come to a new season and make our artists and their art a way of life. We connect artists and collectors; we create collector and discover artists, and we celebrate western art and partner with artists. There is nothing better than knowing the artist.
This week we began a series of artist profiles on PlumTV and see Dan Young talk about his work in the Rockies en plein air and Dan and Arlo Namingha talk about their roots on the Hopi reservation in Arizona that brings their work (as painter and sculptor) alive for you with such glorious colors, as if with them on their home at the First Mesa. We are creating programs in all formats…from shows and lectures to studio tours and artist interview…so stay with us…lots coming.
Open a new world.
