Home for the Holidays: Small Works, Big Statements

Ann Korologos Gallery presents Home for the Holidays: Small Works, Big Statements featuring printmakers Paula Schuette KraemerLeon LoughridgeJoel Ostlind, Sherrie York, and paintings, photographs, and sculpture by renowned local and national artists. Holiday Party and Artists’ Reception on Thursday, December 7th from 5 to 7PM at Ann Korologos Gallery in Basalt.

In the spirit of the holidays, this curated collection of small works by over 30 artists appeals to the passions and palate of those who love the West, with the opportunity to give unique gifts that leave a lasting impression. As a premier source for Western Art in the Aspen area, and a popular destination for local art lovers and tourists alike, Ann Korologos Gallery is ideal for those seeking out traditional styles and techniques, as well as ‘out of the box’ works that capture the essence of the West.

The varied selection of style, prices, and subjects makes the exhibition an oasis for holiday shopping: copperplate etchings of trout, snowy scenes, and ranch life by Joel Ostlind; bright mountain landscapes masterfully captured in wood block prints, watercolor, or pastel by Leon Loughridge; contemporary and humorous monoprints capturing the simple pleasures by Paula Schuette Kraemer; vibrant and expressive moments of nature captured by the finely detailed reduction linocuts by Sherrie York; paintings, sculptures, and photographs by dozens of incredible artists.

In addition to the many prints on view, visitors can choose from poetic oil paintings by Peter Campbell, depictions of beloved Colorado scenes by painters Terry Gardner, Brett Scheifflee, and Simon Winegar; artful photographs by Tom Korologos, Devin Pool, and Kathryn Rabinow; inspiring sculptures by Veryl GoodnightGordon GundLloyd Schermer, and Amy Laugesen, and handmade clay vessels by Michael Wisner.
