Ann Korologos Gallery presents Gallery Selections, a group exhibition showcasing nationally awarded and locally acclaimed artists whose styles and subjects are as varied as the West. The exhibition will open at Ann Korologos Gallery in Basalt on Friday, February 9th and will remain on view through March 12th, 2018.
“We assign great importance to capturing the West through its many angles. Take horses for instance: from the symbolism behind the forms of Amy Laugesen’s classic sculptures to the expressive interpretation of Peggy Judy’s paintings of livestock; from the mystical photographs by Sandra Lee Kaplan to the modern artifacts and adornments of Janet Nelson; the style, form, and interpretation of these artists couldn’t be more varied. Apply that to the West, and one will see that our artists and curation reach all corners of Contemporary Western Art,” reflects Ann Korologos.
In addition to the horses of the West by Amy Laugesen, Peggy Judy, Sandra Lee Kaplan, and Janet Nelson, the exhibition also presents landscapes, ranch life, and natural forms by Peter Campbell, Heather Foster, Paula Schuette Kraemer, Andy Taylor, Gayle Waterman, Marie Figge Wise, and Dinah Worman. Gallery Selections is a beautiful curation of contemporary western culture, while also honoring its past. Whether seeking to lift spirits or refresh a room, the gallery invites everyone to visit.
