Celebrating the Landscape – the Pastoral and the Sublime, showcases new paintings by this select group.  Each artist has skillfully captured the beauty of the West through a distinctly personal perspective.  Yet all seven painters share one common bond – their work is a contemporary interpretation of the centuries-old tradition of American landscape painting.

These Rocky Mountain regional artist’s diverse perspectives capture both the romance of the untamed and threatening landscape first made famous by nineteenth century artists such as Bierstadt and Moran, as well as the quiet beauty of peaceful pastures and atmospheric light.   From the soaring vistas of the Western Mountains to the Eastern Plains grain silos and abandoned drive-in movie theater signs, one will be moved by these landscapes that portray the diverse moods of the familiar yet ever changing beauty of Colorado.
