April Showers, May Flowers is a group exhibition celebrating the vibrant transformation of seasons in the West, featuring a wide array of some of the most inspired painters, printmakers, and sculptors working in a variety of techniques to capture the budding colors and wild characters of Spring in the West. As the premier showcase for Western contemporary art, Ann Korologos Gallery proudly represents 40 national and local Western artists representing diverse artistic traditions: abstract and representational photographs by Kathryn Rabinow revealing the essence and unexpected beauty of everyday scenes and objects; colorful, gestural landscape paintings by Andy Taylor with his unusual, abstracted perspective of familiar landmarks; vibrant plein air paintings by impressionist Sean Walliscapturing scenes that are fading away; bold post-expressionist still lifes by Angus Wilson; meticulous linocuts by Sherrie York showing her astute observations of nature; woodblock prints, watercolor, and pastels by Leon Loughridge masterfully capturing bright mountain landscapes; dream-like landscape paintings captured with a limited color palette by Peter Campbell.
