Ann Korologos Gallery Represents Three New Artists

The Ann Korologos Gallery in Basalt is proud to announce representation of three new artists. All three will have works shown in the upcoming Colorado Color group exhibition, on view March 11 – April 12, 2014.

Rick Stevens of Santa Fe, New Mexico, received his degree from Aquinas College. Stevens has a long and distinguished resume with many solo and group exhibitions under his belt. He has won awards including First Prize in the Festival of Arts at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Best of Show in the West Michigan Regional Exhibition, First Place and Perugino Award at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. His work was featured in the 2016 Coors Western Art Exhibition & Sale, and can be seen in collections including the Muskegon Museum of Art, Michigan; the Brauer Museum of Art, Valparaiso, Indiana; St. Johns College, Maryland and Goldman Sachs, New York.

Paula Schuette Kraemer, Greetings 17/20, 18″ x 18″, Intaglio

Paula Schuette Kraemer of Silverthorne, Colorado and Madison, Wisconsin, studied art history at Vassar College and did undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She went received her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin where she studied both printmaking and. A close alliance with Tandem Press has afforded her the opportunity to learn from many of the Tandem artists who have worked there. All of her work is created and printed at her own Open Gate Press in Madison. She is a veteran of many solo and group exhibitions including the 2016 Coors Western Art Exhibition and Sale. Her work can be found in the collections of the Waterloo Museum of Art, Waterloo, Iowa; Vail Resorts Inc., Vail, Colorado; and the Hallmark Corporation, Liberty, Missouri.

Sherrie York, Shadowplay, Reduction Linocut

Sherrie York of Salida, Colorado, is an accomplished printmaker, painter and draughtswoman with an international reputation for lyrical and expressive works on paper. York’s work has been in many national and international exhibitions, including the juried Animalia 2016 exhibition and Colorado Governor’s Invitational exhibitions in 2014, 2015 and 2016 at the Loveland Museum, Loveland, CO, and the 2016 Coors Western Exhibition & Sale and Club Gallery in Denver, CO. Her work can be seen in corporate and museum collections including the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, Wisconsin and The John and Alice Forester Miniature Collection, Wausau, Wisconsin. She has participated in projects of the international Artists for Nature Foundation in Holland and Spain, and has been Artist-in-Residence at Acadia National Park and Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. York has illustrated several books and she is a popular instructor in field sketching and printmaking. She has also taught youth classes at the Art Students League of Denver.
