Sarah Lamb, “Eggs and Copper,” oil on linen, 13 x 21 inches
We’re excited to learn that two works by Houston still life painter Sarah Lamb are on view in the exhibition Two Centuries of American Still-Life Painting: The Frank and Michelle Hevrdejs Collection, which traces the history of American still-life painting in the United States over the course of nearly 200 years. Sarah’s work is hung alongside such notable artists as Georgia O’Keefe and Wayne Thiebaud. The collection will become part of the permanent collection of the MFAH, including Sarah’s two works. The exhibition is on view January 12 – April 9, 2017.
