About this work
"Early on my work consisted mostly of drawings, drawing with collage, and intaglio prints. I deliberately kept my materials simple to accentuate the quality of the line. My works were also primarily of family, friends, and models. Over time, my works have gotten increasingly larger and my subject matter has come to include a major focus on historical figures. My work has also become even more textural and colorful over time." ~ Tomas Lasansky

Subject: Albert Einstein (March 14, 1879 – April 18, 1955). A German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of relativity, the mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2, and received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect."
