About this work
A study by Terry Gardner of a lone Bristlecone Pine, drawn with charcoal, lead, multiple erases and blending stumps as a study for his painting, "Together." These ancient trees, located near Alma, CO, are nearly 1,000 years old and have both petrified wood and new growth, bent over from a millennium of high winds and long winters 'above tree line.'
