Owner, Ann Korologos
Ann Korologos has been a long-time lover and collector of art. To further her lifelong ambition of owning a gallery, in 2007 she bought the Basalt Gallery, renamed it the Ann Korologos Gallery and moved it to the beautiful clock tower building in historic downtown Basalt. She is dedicated to bringing artists and collectors together and making the Ann Korologos Gallery a center of arts and culture in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. Ann has been a Washington businesswoman and political leader for many years; serving as Secretary of Labor under President Reagan, among other government positions. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of many blue-ribbon U.S. Corporations and is a past President of the the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Institute (www.AspenInstitute.org). Ann’s husband, Tom Korologos, was U.S. Ambassador to Belgium from 2004 to 2007. During their stay they brought two local artists to Belgium through the Arts in Embassies Program. Ann is currently president of the Board of Directors for the Anderson Ranch Arts Center (www.AndersonRanch.org) in Snowmass Village, Colorado.
Manager, Julia Novy
Julia Novy is a long time resident of the Roaring Fork Valley. Julia has a deep love of art, and grew up in the San Francisco area in the home of passionate art collectors. Julia has a degree in architecture has managed several architecture firms. She knows the gallery well and brings an enthusiasm and energy each day to her work, and passion for our Western Art and our artists. She continues to be very active in the local arts, as well as working with local artists on the annual Roaring Fork Valley Studio Tour.
Sales, Katie Hunsberger
Katie Hunsberger is a native of Basalt, Colorado. She has studied art and painting and brings a special understanding of art and artists to the gallery. She has managed several businesses and brings her organizational and technical skills to the gallery. Katie also brings her small town friendliness and warmth to the gallery. If you would like to learn a little about our Historic River Town, ask Katie. She is Colorado through and through.
Marketing, Rebecca Young
Rebecca Young is a Colorado native and 38-year resident of the Roaring Fork Valley. She was formerly affiliated with local news media and with publications/publicity at Valley View Hospital. She brings a lifelong love of art and communications experience to the gallery.
College Intern, Sierra Pickslay
Sierra is currently attending Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. She is studying business with a concentration in management. She plans to graduate in May 2013 and take the knowledge from working at the gallery with her into the world of business.
