Artist Talk with Sherrie York, Saturday December 10
On Saturday morning, December 10, Salida printmaker Sherrie York will give an artist talk from 10-11 am. Come for coffee and a fascinating look at the artist’s process of reduction linocut printing.

The Ann Korologos Gallery is a premier source for Western Art in the Aspen area, and a popular destination for local art lovers and tourists alike. With a roster of 32 artists, many from the Roaring Fork Valley, it is an oasis for those seeking out traditional styles and techniques. Works on paper by our printmakers are always sought after this time of year and make wonderful holiday gifts.

The masterful wood block prints of Leon Loughridge and Joel Ostlind’s traditional copperplate etchings will be available; and for different tastes, the contemporary and humorous monoprints of Paula Kraemer, and Sherrie York’s finely detailed reduction linocuts of birds and scenes from nature.

In addition to the many prints on view, visitors can choose from the charming southwestern vignettes of Elizabeth Sandia, poetic oil paintings by Peter Campbell, depictions of beloved Colorado scenes by painters Terry Gardner, Brett Scheifflee, and Simon Winegar; artful photographs by Tom Korologos, Greg Hobson, and Kathryn Rabinow; inspiring sculptures by Veryl Goodnight, Gordon Gund, and Amy Laugesen, and handmade clay vessels by Michael Wisner. All make wonderful gifts or treats for oneself!
